Good technology starts with understanding people, organisations and power.

Nonprofits, foundations and public-interest organisations are under pressure to modernise and adopt AI. Too often, the conversation begins with tools. The harder questions — about governance, incentives, and how organisations actually work — are where I begin.

Ways organisations work with me

Technology problems rarely start with technology. I work alongside your team to investigate the root questions and turn findings into practical decisions.

As Consultant

Technology Audits & Digital Maturity

"Our tools have grown faster than our strategy. Nobody knows what we actually need."

  • Digital tool audit across all departments
  • Staff interviews and workflow mapping
  • Prioritised roadmap: what to keep, change and drop
For AI Governance

AI Readiness & Responsible Adoption

"We want to use AI but our data is sensitive. We need realistic governance."

  • AI readiness and maturity assessment
  • Data sovereignty and privacy review
  • Practical open-source tool recommendations
As Reviewer

Independent Reviews & Evaluation

"We need someone from outside the system who will ask the hard questions."

  • Programme and initiative reviews
  • Digital investment evaluation
  • Public accountability and governance reviews
As Convener & Board Member

Facilitation, Governance & Coalitions

"We need governance and community structures built to last beyond the grant."

  • Coalition design and governance facilitation
  • Community of practice design
  • Board governance for civil society organisations

The perspective I bring

I look at technology by getting into the details: the architecture, the decisions behind it, and the evidence that supports those decisions. I'm comfortable reverse-engineering how a system came to be, tracing procurement choices, and checking whether the logic holds. I push for rigour but stay realistic about how organisations function. It's a way of working I've used across very different systems and contexts.

20+ countries across global INGOs
200+ organisations held together in one coalition
58,000 rural women trained in a first-of-its-kind data literacy programme
$75k in misappropriated public funds recovered through social audit

On stage, in community, at the table

I speak on technology, AI governance, democracy. My thinking comes from working across very different parts of the system. From organising and public accountability work to analysing architecture and decisions inside large institutions. And so I connect the dots to diverse audiences, whether in village meetings or global forums.

Organisations I have worked with

VSO Deloitte TISS MKSS Government of India Government of Tamil Nadu Pudhu Vaazhvu Project Pension Parishad

"Her contribution to the project was exemplary. Within 4 months, start to finish, she caught up with a 10-year-old project, set up her teams, worked with 200 women, helped put in place key correctional measures, recovered money, and wrote a 250+ page report."

World Bank-Funded Livelihood Project

"Her reports captured little stories from villages as much as project metrics, combining both to offer a comprehensive picture."

Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India

"In one day with you, we learned more than in the previous 27 days with others."

Let's talk.

I work with organisations that need someone who truly understands — the technology, the politics, the people and the constraints. Whether you need a tech audit, an AI governance review, a convener for a coalition, or a speaker — I'd be glad to hear from you.

Not sure yet? An informal conversation costs nothing.
